About me:To sum it all up: I am from Dunedin and grew up on a farm.. I have a twin brother who is my absolute best friend! My Mum, Mary, is a hairdresser and my Dad is a Farmer – I love my life!
Career Highlights:So far becoming a colourist has been a huge achievement for me and a big highlight. It Is so exciting to be getting more responsibility and being able to build those relationships with clients. Other highlights: being a finalist for 2011 Apprentice of the Year, being a finalist in the National Protégé competition, and being placed in the 2011 hairdressing competitions. Most recently, I won the 2011 Employee of the Year which was a huge surprise!
What/ who inspires you?My mum inspires me. She is such an awesome person and has taught me everything that I know. She is so successful in both her business and motherhood. She inspires me by teaching me to always be myself.
Where do you see yourself in...5yrs.. travelling the world! I cant wait to experience more things. I want to learn more about other cultures and further my hairdressing career.
10yrs.. One day I aim to have my very own successful business.
What is your 'X-Factor'?My personality! I always try to think positively about every situation that life throws at me. At the beginning of each day I tell myself that I will have a great day, and as a result each day I do!
How do you make your clients feel like a million $$?I treat each client as if it was their first day at Blue Cactus. I feel it is so important to ask them questions, make sure they are comfortable and that they understand what their journey here will look like. I truly care for each client and I feel good when I know that they feel special and well looked after.
What do you LOVE most about BC?
I love BC for the training. It is so important to me that at this early stage of my career I receive a high standard of training and both Kerri and Sonya are fantastic and delivering that!
