Position:Senior Stylist & Wedding Co-ordinator
About me:I grew up in Ashburton and only recently moved to Wellington. I began my hairdressing career over 5 years ago - I love competing in competitions every year and continue to love my career choice!
Career Highlights:I had the opportunity to do a complete makeover for a competition winner for ‘Essence’ magazine. Competing in regional hairdressing competitions is also something I always look forward to – recently I achieved a 2nd and 4th place. Another big highlight for me was delivering a training creative colour course at my previous salon – I had so much fun doing it, and it was a great experience.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?The career that I feel so happy doing as a hobby as well as a job.
What is your 'X-factor'?I believe that I am an excellent communicator and I really take the time to understand my clients. It is my belief that good listening is one of the most important things in this industry.
Colouring would be what I love the most as it is a very creative thing to achieve and I love challenges. Hairdressing gives me those challenges I love it!
What do you LOVE most about BC?The buzz of a busy work place and the fact that the team all get along so well. The main thing that stood out to me and something that I really enjoy is the structure of this business and how well it is run by management.
How do you make your clients feel like a million $$?Going the extra mile with styling and finishing hair to desired result and listening to what makes them feel amazing!
What are YOUR fav fashion/hair trends etc?
I love “Fashion Quaterly”, ”Vogue” and “Simply You” magazines they give me great tips on fashion AND hair trends. My fav at moment would be the delicate summer colours with soft contrast.
